	Vision for Ministry of Helps
God is always anointed and lifted up through the work of the Ministry of Helps.	1Those of us who are strong and able in the faith need to step in and lend a hand to those who falter, and not just do what is most convenient for us. Strength is for service, not status. 2Each one of us needs to look after the good of the people around us, asking ourselves, "How can I help?"          3That's exactly what Jesus did. He didn't make it easy for himself by avoiding people's troubles, but waded right in and helped out. "I took on the troubles of the troubled," is the way Scripture puts it. 4Even if it was written in Scripture long ago, you can be sure it's written for us. God wants the combination of his steady, constant calling and warm, personal counsel in Scripture to come to characterize us, keeping us alert for whatever he will do next. 5May our dependably steady and warmly personal God develop maturity in you so that you get along with each other as well as Jesus gets along with us all. 6Then we'll be a choir--not our voices only, but our very lives singing in harmony in a stunning anthem to the God and Father of our Master Jesus!         7So reach out and welcome one another to God's glory. Definition:  The Ministry of Helps at Word of Faith Christian Center is consolidation of various groups of born-again, Spirit-filled individuals, forming a nucleus surrounding the Pastor and his assistant to aid them in meeting the operational demands of the Ministry and the spiritual needs of the people who participate in the worship study, and social activities of Word of Faith Christian Center. Purpose and Function: To assist the Pastor in carrying out his God-given vision in spreading the Gospel.  To work, share, and participate with the Pastor as one body.  To support the Pastor's vision by setting a good example to those within and outside of Word of Faith Christian Center through a consistent display of spiritual strength, moral, fortitude, and personal integrity.

Scriptural Basis:  "And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondary prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, HELPS, governments, diversities of tongues." (1 Cor. 12:28)

 

To volunteer for a department, you must be a card carrying member. Please contact the church office for additional information or to contact one of the department heads. Here is a brief description of the departments. This is only a brief description and does not reflect all of the responsibilities performed by each department.

Clerical Department Prepare mailings, tape duplication, letters to new members and visitors, prepare the bulletin and more. Contact Ms. LaRissa Hollingsworth for additional information.

Music Department The choir, praise team and band all perform every Sunday and for special events. Contact Minister Careem Warren for additional information.

Faith Food Store You can buy books, tapes, bibles and clothing and sign up for special events at the bookstore. Contact Ms. Robin Burris or Mrs. Dianna Cutts for additional information.

Glory Phi God Youth Ministry Special ministry to youth in grades 6-12. Contact Minister Shannon Ingram for additional information.

Hostess/Greeters Greet parishioners, pass out literature, prepare communion and maintain the over cleanliness of the sanctuary. Contact Ms. Marsha Hooks for additional information.

 

Welcome to the house of the Lord

Hospitality Food preparation for special events and more. Contact Ms. Sandra Gaddy for additional information.

Ministry of Defense Overall security and safety of the church. Monitor events on church grounds and off site events. Accompany Pastor Wilson to all off site events. Contact Mr. Scott Sutton for additional information.

Sound Department Record all services, work sound board, maintain all sound equipment including speakers, microphones, etc. Contact Mr. Jeff Sanders for additional information.

 

Ushers/Parking Lot Greet and seat parishioners, collect offering, pass communion, and maintain the overall cleanliness of the sanctuary. Also assist with parking and snow removal when necessary. Contact Mr. Larry Brown for additional information.
