Prayer Manna
Prayer Manna
Author: Pastor Thomas G. Wilson
April 27, 2020
Isaiah 55:10-11 KJV
10
For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud,
that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
John 15:7-8 TPT
[7]
But if you live in life-union with me and if my words live powerfully within you-then you can ask whatever you desire and it will be done.
[8]
When your lives bear abundant fruit, you demonstrate that you are my mature disciples who glorify my Father!
Manna was an edible substance provided daily for the children of Israel by God to sustain their lives. It was referred to as “bread” from heaven. However, Jesus revealed that He (the Word) was the true bread from heaven. Therefore, the Word (Jesus) is the edible substance from heaven, which sustains life.
Prayer should never be some religious practice without power but rather should always be effective, accurate, and powerful application of life substance. Prayer should always be rooted in God’s Word. Prayer is based upon the Word, rises above the senses, connects with the Author and sets spiritual decree in motion. In prayer we hold the Word up to Him and He sees His promise, His will, His purpose, His way and His law and says Amen!
